About

About Understorey Holdings

Our mission

Canvas bedroom with a low bed and rust-coloured cushions, opening through black-framed glass to a rocky mountain deck.

Understorey Holdings develops conservation-led, low-impact hospitality. We convert landsites into durable assets and community experience that protect the traditions and scarcity that make each place itself.

Our approach

Sunrise over grassland, seen from a canvas lodge through open glass doors, with linen curtains and a daybed on the deck.

We build to a global standard: modular, repeatable typologies; passive and renewable systems; and local materials that keep every site true to its landscape. Sustainability is measured, verified, and designed to meet environmental standards. Local employment, artisan procurement, and equity sit inside the operating structure, so value remains in the understorey.
